Zlatan Ibrahimovic willing to join Man Utd but only if Louis van Gaal leaves the club at the end of the season

Paris Saint Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be leaving the French club at the end of the season amidst huge interest from a number of top Premier League sides. This is despite reports that he is requesting a £600,000 per week wage.
According to Sky Sports, the Swedish forward is interested in joining Manchester United at the but only on the condition that current manager Louis van Gaal leaves Old Trafford.

It's also been reported that teams from the Chinese Super League and Major League Soccer are also ready to offer big money to lure the 34-year-old out of Europe.Ibrahimovic though wants to stay on the continent, and considers United as an appropriate club playing on an appropriate stage to satisfy his demands in the latter stages of his career. He is looking to continue on for another two seasons with his next club, the report states.

He has clashed with Van Gaal during their time at Ajax - and publicised his ill-feelings towards the Dutchman in his 2011 autobiography, I am Zlatan.  Then Ronald Koeman was the manager while Van Gaal was there in a technical director capacity.

There has been a hint of bad blood between the two ever since, though Van Gaal complimented Ibrahimovic's recent form last week before hinting he may be too old for United to go after while he was still in charge.

Van Gaal said: "We need a much younger selection because we need creative players in attack and also fast players.

"I like own youth players more because they already know the culture in Manchester United, and that is also the philosophy for example of Ajax or Barcelona and also Bayern Munich. He [Ibrahimovic] is already 34 and I just spoke about the age [of the players]."

Anthony Martial meanwhile has admitted to Telefoot that he'd love to line up next to the enigmatic forward in Red Devils jersey next season, and insists that Van Gaal has had very positive influence on his career since he joined from Monaco last summer.

He said: "It would be nice to play with him (Zlatan). He is an extraordinary player and he continues to prove it despite his age.

"I really like Louis van Gaal, he was always behind me. He made me come and made me play, this is the most important thing.

"We will have to strengthen during the transfer window, although we have a good team."
