Arsenal struggling to sell matchday tickets for West Brom clash at Emirates as angry fans vote with their feet

This season has seen quite a number of premier league fans protest against their clubs by staging an early walk-out during a game, most notably the 70th minute Anfield walk-out that saw over 10,000 Liverpool supporters abandon a game in protest to the increase in ticket prices.
It now seems Gunners faithful have taken a cue from that, albeit, not for the same reason even though they have the most expensive match-day tickets in the division.

They have opted not to buy tickets, or at least, they have resisted the urge to rush for them.

The interactive map on Arsenal's website show they are struggling to sell out their ground for Thursday's clash with West Bromwich Albion as information their shows there are tickets available in 103 of the 115 different blocks. And three of the blocks that are sold out are in the away end.

While some sections of the stadium just have a handful of seats available, others have rows of free seats. For instance, Block 122 in the upper tier, has 107 seats available for the match, and it is unusual for the London club to have that much un-purchased tickets, especially for a home game with just a little over 48 hours to go.

With just Tottenham, Leiceste and an inconsistent Manchester City to contend with, Arsene Wenger's side have again flattered to deceive and have fallen 14 points behind the Foxes, although with a game in hand. They sunk to a new low after a disappointing draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend.

As the final whistle blew fans let their feelings known with loud boos and jeers.

Wenger will be hoping the fans can get behind the team on Thursday for a late push up the table, but judging by the ticket sales it seems many have given up on the team this season.

The time for that game is by 7:45pm local time.
