Adidas or Nike...see the most lethal Premier League football boots

Unlike the old times, these days we get to see all sorts of bizarrely artistic ones, from Mario Balotelli's weird hairy ones - and even some completely lace-less pairs as worn by Mesut Ozil.

But at the end of the final whistle, players would be happy to have scored with the boots.
So asides from all the drama that surrounds the footwear, which ones actually translate to success on the pitch?

According to research done by the Football Boots DB, Nike leads the way.

With a huge 207 goals to their name, the Nike Mercurial boot is by far the most successful in the Premier League - a whopping 65 more than its nearest competitor, the Adidas X.
Romelu Lukaku is the top Mercurial marksman (18 goals), with Odion Ighalo (15) and free-kick king Dimitri Payet (9) behind him.

Jermain Defoe (12), Diego Costa (11) and Georginio Wijnaldum (9) are the top trio to wear the second-placed Adidas X.
But what about the season's other top scorers, Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Sergio Aguero ?
Kane (22 goals) and Vardy (19) both wear the Nike Hypervenom boots, while Aguero has scored 17 in his Puma Evospeeds.
