Manchester City prepare for triple Arsenal raid...latest transfer rumors

Champions League semi-finalists Manchester City are looking to make an unprecedented triple raid on Arsenal this summer. They plan to swoop three of their long-established midfielders, that is according to reports by Football Insider.

Aaron Ramsey is among the main targets, though City also want Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mikel Arteta in a mammoth deal. The latter could retire and join Pep Guardiola's coaching staff, while Oxlade-Chamberlain is looking for more first team football.

Whether he'd actually get that in Manchester especially with the number of expensive stars already lined up for his preferred position remains to be seen, but Ramsey would be the priciest of the bunch and undoubtedly the toughest to sign.

Andros Townsend's time at Newcastle could be over within a matter of months as Crystal Palace are preparing a bid for the player if his current side get relegated.

Townsend only joined from Tottenham in the winter window but has been unable to turn their on-field fortunes around, as Newcastle currently sit 19th and six points adrift of safety. Palace are ready to offer up to £10m to convince him to return to London, reported South London Press.

Chelsea are looking to steal in to sign Fulham youngster Moussa Dembele this summer after Tottenham's interest in the 19-year-old recently cooled.

The Standard claim that the Blues are looking to bring fresh blood into their squad over the course of the off-season, and that he's considered a genuine option to sign by incoming boss Antonio Conte.

Spurs wanted the player in January, but now it appears that the Blues could be the ones to snap him up for a compensation fee when his deal expires this summer.

Instead of Dembele, there's a growing possibility that Spurs could land Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi from Marseille, according to L’Equipe.

West Ham want the 22-year-old too, but the report claims that former Marseille boss Marcelo Bielsa - who played a big part in making the player succeed in France - has been sending DVD's of the player to Tottenham and urging them to complete a transfer.

Bielsa knows Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino well after playing for him at Newell’s Old Boys, Espanyol and for Argentina.

As long as Arsenal incomings are concerned, they've been handed a major blow in their attempts to sign Inter's Mauro Icardi as the Argentinian says he's happy in Serie A.

Icardi, who has been repeatedly linked with the Gunners in the past, told Corriere della Sera: "Every year they say that I'm leaving, it's always the same story.

"The club has done great work by bringing in top players. Where do you want me to go? I'm happy to be here, to be the captain, the striker and to score."

Liverpool are ready to offer a deal to Fiorentina forward Khouma Babacar in the summer, according to Italian website Calciomercato.

Fiorentina boss Paulo Sousa favours one man up front and prefers to go with Nikola Kalinic in the position, meaning Babacar may be deemed surplus to requirements by La Viola. Liverpool have scouted the player before and are impressed with what he can bring.

Babacar has turned down moves to Manchester United and Real Madrid in the past.
