Terry set to snub Chinese mega money for chance to reunite with former teammate

John Terry's summer exit from Stamford Bridge after 18 years seems imminent after the legendary captain revealed during a post match press conference that the club was not offering him a new deal, something the club put out a statement to refute.

His next destination has now prompted speculations with some linking him with moves to the MLS, CSL and the Far East.

Terry had been earmarked as a top summer target for a number of Chinese clubs although reports have however emerged that he is set to snub any mega-money offers to join the Chinese revolution.

They have been dangled the cash, for Wayne Rooney a target, and are prepared to pay Terry up to £20m-a-year to move to the Far East.

But Terry, 35, is ready to reject any offers from Super League clubs with, the MLS and Qatar his preferred destinations.

If he makes a move to the Far East it most likely would be to be reunited with his former Stamford Bridge team-mate Gianfranco Zola who is now in charge of Qatar-based Al-Arabi and has already sounded out Terry about the prospect of joining him.

In the MLS only LA Galaxy or New York City who his mate Frank Lampard plays for have budgets big enough to try to lure a big-name player such as Terry. Lampard has already said he would be willing to pay his flight ticket down to America.
