PSG boss Blanc responds for the first time to defender Aurier's homophobic slur at himself and Ibrahimovic...and the boss can me hard too

PSG boss Laurent Blanc has launched his own scathing response to Serge Aurier's homophobi slur, after the Ivorian defender insulted his Paris Saint-Germain boss during an online Q&A session with fans on Saturday night.
While speaking to the press ahead of their Champions League tie against Chelsea, Blanc branded Aurier's behaviour as 'pitiful', and damaging to the club. He also revealed that he felt the most let down on a personal level having persuaded the 23-year-old to sign for Paris.

Blanc said: 'I reacted very badly. We are all free to think what we want to think and can have our own opinions but that boy, two years ago, I committed myself to make him come to Paris and seeing what I saw that's all the thanks I got. And that's really pitiful.

'He has penalised himself. He should have been preparing for the last 16 round of the Champions League, and that would have been better than staying at home not knowing what to do.
'But he is free to do what he wants. What I don't accept with is that it's also penalising the club through the image he gives and the things he said.

Over and Out?
'I know the new generation of players who spend time feeling sorry. And excusing themselves. Before you're sorry, you need to think about what you do.'

Blanc would only take one question on the subject at a press conference at the Parc des Princes.

'The club has taken its decisions,' he added. 'If there is anything else you will know about it. If Serge has a problem with me I won't use the Press to handle the problem. I will see him directly.'

The club have since released a statement through a spokesman that says: 'The club has decided to open disciplinary proceedings accompanied by a suspension. Serge Aurier will therefore not feature as part of the squad to take on Chelsea, this Tuesday, in the Champions League.

'This video, filmed in private, evidently contains unacceptable remarks coming from a PSG player towards his team-mates and especially towards the manager Laurent Blanc.'
