Sunderland just like their fellow city neighbours, Newcastle, have struggled in all forms all season. It has not been helped despite Big Sam's appointment either.

However the surprise on Allardyce's face after Khazri took the lead inside the third minute speaks volumes.

Anthony Martial's equalizer shortly before halftime was not enough for United to take a point home as Sunderland regained the lead with an unlucky David De Gea knocking the ball into his own net after Martial had seemingly cleared.
