Manchester United contact Jose Mourinho's camp following threat of Inter hijack

It continues to look increasingly likely that Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will be the next Premier League manager to get booted out of his position and the odds against him have shot up after his side's latest loss in their Europa league opener, prompting the club with all the faith they have in him to spring for Jose Mourinho.
There were reports earlier this week that the Portuguese was in talks for a potential move with Inter Milan who he led to a historic tremble during his first stint at the club. He was due to meet with Inter co-owner Massimo Moratti during the week as a clear warning to United who he feels have delayed in making a decision over Louis van Gaal.
M.E.N. Sport is now reporting that United touched base with Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes to ascertain whether the manager was seriously considering a return to management at Internazionale. He has though claimed that he has no plans of taking over Roberto Mancini's job.

Ahead of a personal trip to Milan to watch the Nerazzurri play Sampdoria on Saturday, he told La Stampa: "There is one thing I want to clarify - I will not be directing things over there next season. Inter already have a project that belongs to Roberto Mancini and (president) Erick Thohir.
"Their ideas have my full support and I hope their plans are successful. I want to see Inter fans smiling again and so I hope to witness a victory tomorrow.
