Fan looses his sight as over 100 Bastia supporters take on local police station after club's fan is injured in Reims clash


According to France's Interior Ministry, not less than 100 fans in the Corsican city of Bastia attacked a police station with weapons, projectiles and Molotov cocktails in response to arrests following a Reims-Bastia match.

Bastia won away from home for the first time throughout the season, after Floyd Ayite's scored three minutes after half-time giving them a 1-0 victory over struggling Reims.
After the Ligue 1 match, one of the Bastia city's fans was injured during a scuffle in Reims in clashes with police. The ministry confirmed that Eight people were arrested.

According to the club, Bastia, the fan lost his sight in the injured eye and Gilles Simeoni, a top Corsican official, said witnesses suggested police acted with unusual brutality. One officer suffered a head injury.
