Conte agrees £6m a year deal with Chelsea

Former Juventus coach Antonio Conte is set to become Chelsea’s new manager from next season after he agreed a three-year deal with the Londoners.

The 46-year-old Italy coach is understood to have held productive talks with Blues power director and Roman Abramovich's right hand woman, Marina Granovskaia on Thursday during a meeting in London.

The Italian’s contract as Italy’s head coach ends after this summer’s European Championships after which he would take over the Stamford Bridge job to earn around £6million-a-year.

He has enjoyed success at club managerial level and led Juventus to three consecutive Italian titles before taking the Italy job four years ago.
