Oh dear. The Mourinho ghost haunts Juan Mata again with Woodward advised to sell the Spaniard

All indications suggest that Juan Mata might be the biggest loser following  Jose Mourinho's appointment as United boss.  The Portuguese is understood to be ready to let both defender Daley Blind and Juan Mata leave the club this summer as he looks to rebuild a squad of his own ahead of next season, Sky Sports are reporting.

Just like at Chelsea before Mournho's second coming, Mata alongside Blind were key members of the squad under Louis van Gaal in the last campaign, but Mourinho is willing to let them leave Old Trafford if the club receives good-enough offers as long as he can find direct replacements.
Reports also claim that immediately after Mourinho's official unveiling as United boss, Mata moved to sort clarification with the club on what his future might be at the club. The creative midfielder and former Stamford Bridge favourite had previously been sold from Chelsea to United in 2014 by the Portuguese who was not satisfied with his workrate and pace.

Mourinho looks to bring in a number of key targets who have already been identified and the likes of John Stones, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba are believed to be on his shopping list.

Mourinho was pictured at United's Carrington training ground on Monday meeting with both executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and Sir Bobby Charlton, where he got down to business on his new job. But the decision to offload both players - each of whom are fan favourites - is thought to have been one of his first big decisions at his new club.

About Dutch international Blind, Mourinho is said to believe that he doesn't have the physical attributes to excel in a role as a centre half. While Blind who joined United for £14m in the summer of 2014 is able to play in a number of positions, Mourinho is thought to be ready to cash in on him.
