Oh dear. Jamie Vardy's family set to miss his wedding due to family rift over his bride-to-be

Everything should just be going perfectly well for him right now.
The Football Writers Association Player of the Year will get married on Wednesday but the celebrations won't be as perfect as he has always dreamd as it will be marred by the absence of his family.

Due to the rift, his parents and grandparents will not attend because of a falling out over bride-to-be Becky Nicholson.

A source close to the star said on Monday: “He’s got everything going for him apart from a normal and happy relationship with some of his family.

“He hasn’t spoken to his own mum and dad for 18 months and they’ve not been invited to the wedding.

“Jamie’s victory is bittersweet. He’s fallen out with his family because of his girlfriend.

"It’s such a pity they can’t all celebrate his sporting glory and new wedded life. ”

His dad Phil Vardy said: “It’s not right to talk about it at such a time. It’s been going on ever since she came on the scene.

“It’s a shame and very sad. I don’t have anything directly to do with my son any more but I’m still his biggest fan from afar. I’m very proud.”

Becky, 34, is the mother of his one-year-old daughter Sofia, and they are set to get married at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire with the bride's family expected to be out in full force on the day, with four bridesmaids in tow, reports claim.

The ceremony was rescheduled from its initial date of 10th June - the kick-off date for the Euros -  after he was invited to play for England the tournament.
