Liverpool reveal their 2016/17 kit and it is "RED" with a unique Anfield quote!

Jordan Henderson, Philippe Coutinho, Simon Mignolet, Jon Flanagan and Liverpool Ladies' Gemma Bonner and Natasha Harding modelled the new kit during the official unveiling.

The strip, made by American sportswear giant New Balance, features a tribute to the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives in the unfortunate Hillsborough disaster in 1989.

Speaking at the launch, skipper Jordan Henderson admitted he was impressed with the strip although he had his on-the-spot reservations about it...

"I think it’s nice. There’s a few different things, he said. "The side vents are meant to help us cool down - but that’s not working right now."

Philippe Coutinho added: "It is special when I see kids with my name on the back of their shirt. It's my inspiration."

The kit also features a unique quote that reads: "There's no noise like the Anfield noise."

The short sleeve shirt is available for £50 although you will have to pay £5 more for the long sleeve version. The prices remain the same for the goalkeepers' shirt.

Shorts cost £25 each with socks priced at £12. The kids shirt is priced at £42 and £45 for long sleeves. A full home kids' kit will cost £69. They are available for purchase on the club's website.
