A goalkeeper was officially the second best playmaker in the 2015/16 Premier League. Can you guess who?

Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy have taken most of the plaudits for Leicester City's unreal title winning achievement. The likes of Danny Drinkwater, Kante and co have also received their fair share but at the tale end of the pitch, goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has remained in his goalpost while the limelight shone further up field.

However, this amazing stat shows just how much the Foxes' number one contributed in attack. Schmeichel was officially the second best Premier League play-maker this season and I have the stats to back that up.

The Danish keeper's attempted 514 passes into the final third was bettered only by Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas who on his part had an impressive 555.
