Roy Hodgson received MORE pay from the FA than incoming Blues boss, Antonio Conte will receive from Chelsea!

Who woulda thought this?!
The manager of the biggest flop team of the tournament received the most pay than any other manager at the Euros.

According to UK Mirror, Roy Hodgson was on a whopping £3.5million a year pay from the FA, that is £350,000 more than Chelsea-bound manager Antonio Conte who is still in the tournament as Italy boss having overseen a stunning performance to knock current champions Spain out on Monday.

Who else still believes the amount you hand a manager determines how successful he would be?

Erm, not like the next illustration should be anywhere side by side but... Wales’ Chris Coleman earns less in a year, £200,000, than his star man Gareth Bale gets for a week’s work at Real Madrid.

Russia’s Leonid Slutsky doesn’t even get a wage, with the authorities paying him only in incentive bonuses after spending a whopping £7million on former England boss Fabio Capello. Shame.

Well am not saying Slutsky's case should be your model story, after all, a workman is worthy of his wages. If you doubt it, go back in time and see how Russia were knocked out in the group stage.
