"My next destination is Manchester United." - Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirms on social media

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has taken to Instagram and Twitter to confirm that he will be joining Manchester United for the coming premier league season. The 34-year-old former Sweden skipper who will become new United boss, Jose Mourinho's second signing is expected to pen a one-year deal, with the option for a further 12 months.

Although United insist no deal has yet been signed with Ibrahimovic, who has yet to undergo a medical with them, the Swedish striker posted on social media, "Time to let the world know. My next destination is Manchester United." Accompanied by the Red Devil's club crest.

A verbal agreement has however been reached between both parties, with no other clubs involved, and the deal is expected to be signed this weekend. He reunites with Mourinho after the pairs' only season together at Inter Milan.
Both also share a mutual respect and admiration for each other, with the footballer revealing in his autobiography some years back, praising the Portuguese over Pep Guardiola who managed him at Barcelona.
Pep would now try to outwit them from the other side of Manchester where he will oversee Manchester City.

Ibrahimovic will become a free agent on Friday, when his contract with Paris St Germain expires and he will receive a loyalty bonus of around £1million.

He yesterday served notice of his impending move on his Instagram account, posting: "For me it is all about looking forward, not back. A new journey is starting."

The Swede will now attempt to add the Premier League title to multiple triumphs in Holland, Spain, Italy and France.

Earlier on Thursday the Red Devils announced that they will be facing Galatasaray in a pre-season clash in Sweden on July 30, just a month after the Swedish skipper retired from international football when his side failed to progress from the group stage in Euro 2016.

The 37-year-old has scored 392 goals in 677 club appearances so far.

He hit 35 goals in 46 appearances during his first season in the French capital, following that up with hauls of 41 and 30 in the following two years. Last season was the most productive of his career in front of goal, scoring 50 times in 51 outings in all competitions including 38 Ligue 1 goals in just 31 appearances.
