Chelsea Open Talks Over Morata Move
Chelsea have opened talks with Real Madrid over a deal to sign Alvaro Morata this summer, reported the Independent.
Morata who completed his move from Juventus to Real Madrid after the Spanish club took maximum advantage of the buy-back clause in his initial move, has also been targeted by Arsenal and a number of other top European clubs, but the Blues are keen on luring him to Stamford Bridge after learning Real have exercised their buy-back option on the now former Juventus man. Real paid Juve £23m for Morata as per a previous agreement, but now feel as though they can make profit.
Chelsea are willing to pay in excess of £30m, and Roman Abramovich is said to have watched the player feature at Euro 2016 recently.
The Blues could lose another Spanish star though, as Ceasar Azpilicuetta is on Barcelona's radar.
