Atletico Madrid begin talks with Chelsea over potential £35million Diego Costa transfer

The UEFA Champions League finalists have commenced with Chelsea over a £35million deal to re-sign striker Diego Costa. The Spanish club are desperate to buy back their former striker who has enjoyed a highly controversial 2-year career in England since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2014.
The unsettled 27-year-old, has made no secret of his desire to return to Atletico and they are keen to make it happen.

Atletico boss Diego Simeone wants Costa and Chelsea are ready to sell after closing in on Marseille’s £33million striker Michy Batshuayi, 22. The Spain international has scored 36 goals in 78 appearances during his two years at Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Batshuayi is set to sign a long-term contract with Chelsea, where he will work under incoming boss Antonio Conte.

There is still the possibility that Batshuayi, as well as future teammates Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard, could line up against current Italy manager Conte in the Euro 2016 final if both Belgium and Italy make it there.
