Alvaro Morata completes his return to Real Madrid

Alvaro Morata is returning to Real Madrid from Juventus.

Morata has made a full return back to the Bernabeu club for £24million after they exercised a buy-back option in his deal with the Old Lady.

A statement read: “Real Madrid C. F. have informed Juventus FC of their decision to salvage the federative rights on the player Álvaro Morata, who will join up with the first team for pre-season training under the command of Zinedine Zidane.”

Zidane is not expected to have first-team plans for Morata and so Madrid plan to sell him on immediately for a profit, as they have done with previous buybacks including Alvaro Negredo, Roberto Soldado and Samuel Eto’o.

The price tag is understood to be in the region of £60million. The high figure has already put off Arsenal, but Chelsea and Man United have retained their interest.
