Breaking News! PSG announce manager, Laurent Blanc has left his role with the club

The 50-year-old who just in February signed a 2-year extension which he described as a ‘show of faith’ from PSG’s owners, has now resigned from his position. The extension then ended speculations linking José Mourinho with job.

Since his appointment in 2013, the Frenchman led the club to the Ligue 1 titles with ease, but that has not been enough to save his job due to their performance in the Champions League. The Parisians finished second the year before his appointment.

Sevilla boss, Unai Emery, is expected to replace Blanc in the Parc des Princes hotseat. Last season he led the Spanish side to a third consecutive Europa League title.

Blanc’s assistant Jean-Louis Gasset and fitness coach Philippe Lambert have also departed.
