Everton Agree Sneijder Move, Ready to Offer Victor Valdes Premier League Lifeline

The Toffees are thought to be keen on bringing in an experienced shot-stopper after Tim Howard left the club as concerns having been raised as to whether Joel Robles is a suitable long-term successor to the American.
So far, the Merseysiders have been linked with Leicester's Kasper Schmeichel, Ajax gloveman Jasper Cillessen and Manchester City custodian Joe Hart, with former Barcelona stopper Valdes the latest name to join that list.

Reports suggest the Champions League and World Cup winner has been offered to Everton after his release from Manchester United at the end of last season, with the 34-year-old managing just two league appearances for the Red Devils in his 18 months at Old Trafford. New Everton boss Ronald Koeman has worked with Valdes before during their time together at Barcelona and could be tempted to add the experienced keeper to his ranks.

Another experienced head may be on his way too, as Everton are reported to have agreed a fee sign Wesley Sneijder. The move may have been triggered by new Toffees boss, Ronald Koeman who is also Dutch.
The 32-year-old is currently at Galatasaray, where he scored five goals in 25 top-flight outings last term. If his move is successful, he would be his countryman's first signing. The former Real Madrid and Inter ace Sneijder has a release clause said to be as low as £5m - although his wages are likely to be high.

But the 53-year-old Koeman, who worked with the Holland international during his time at Ajax, believes he could fit into his new-look Everton side.
