Cesc Fabregas speaks on new boss, Antonio Conte and facing him on Monday

Chelsea and Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas is embracing the chance to go head-to-head with his new club head coach Antonio Conte, reports Gazetta World.

Whilst Fabregas is excited about Conte's arrival at Chelsea, he remains focused on first ending Italy's progress at Euro 2016.
Italy and Spain meet in a last-16 tie on Monday, a repeat of the Euro 2012 final and the Spaniard is relishing the challenge in which the won 4:0. Goals from David Silva, Jordi Alba, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata.

"It is always tough against Italy. They are competitive and have a lot of experience. They have what it takes to win a tournament" Fabregas told Gazetta World.
In the nine games dating back to 2004, aside from Spain's outstanding Euro 2012 final display, a single goal has been enough to emerge as victors when the two sides have met.
The nations met as recently as March 2016, with a 1-1 draw exemplifying Fabregas' comments.
Fabregas commented on the 2012 clash stating that "it’s the best 90 minutes we’ve put together. We enjoyed ourselves and that doesn't usually happen in a final".

The 29-year-old has risen to the challenge the Italians provided in recent fixtures, scoring in the Euro 2008 clash between the two sides, as Spain went on to dominate world football.
However on Monday, Fabregas has an extra incentive to impress, with Conte in the opposition dugout.

The Italian, who is set to take over the reigns at the Stamford Bridge outfit following the Azzuri's conclusion at Euro 2016, has impressed the Chelsea midfielder.
"He is a great coach and a winner. He has told me want he wants to do at Chelsea, but that will remain private" stated Fabregas whilst concluding that he hopes Conte's plans for the upcoming Premier League season begin on Tuesday morning.
