Euro 2016: Germans relax with a game of volleyball as they wait on Italy in quarter final clash

The Germans have been paired with Italy in the quarter-finals of the Euros after defeating Slovakia by three goals to nil in the round of 16 stage. And despite Germany's dismal record against Italy in major tournaments, the Die deutsche boss has insisted the tie is not a source of trauma for him.

He says this despite having always lost to Italy in the World Cups and European Championship knockout stages - including in the 1970 World Cup semi-finals, the 1982 World Cup final, a 2006 World Cup semi-final on home soil and a Euro 2012 semi-final.

To ease his side of the tension and pressure, Low gave his squad a day off [Tuesday] ahead of the Saturday showdown, which the likes of Mats Hummels and Andre Schurrle spent by playing beach volleyball.
