Ronaldo proves that whatever Messi can do, he can even do better in latest record...after throwing journalist's mic into lake

Perhaps rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo's demise were way premature. He has been heavily criticised by fans around the world for his apparently sarcastic comments after drawing 1-1 with Iceland, taunted and jeered when ineffectual against Austria, Portugal's captain has now issued a devastating response, one that will remain in the record books until another with as much "balls" comes around.

In what has been dubbed the most entertaining game of the Euros 2016 till date, Ronaldo with two goals, one assist and an increasingly inspirational performance, rallied his nation against a relentless Hungarian side and dragged them to the next stage of the competition.

His second half double to save his country from the brink of elimination was outstanding -- and record breaking. He's the first player to score at four European Championships - 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016.

On Thursday, it seemed the star had reached boiling point as he grabbed a microphone from a reporter and launched it into a lake. Clearly irked by questions ahead of Portugal's final group match against leaders Hungary, the Real Madrid forward snatched the mic and threw it before continuing his walk with team-mates.
Other Portuguese reporters, careful to keep their equipment safe, had noted that he looked despondent in training this week and when he started the game slowly, their worst fears appeared to have been realised.

In footage taken by cmjornal, it is understood Fernando Santos' men were enjoying a morning stroll around the lake behind their hotel in Linas-Marcoussis when the journalist approached and asked Ronaldo, in Portuguese, the seemingly innocuous question: 'Are you ready for the game today?'
The Portugal star was clearly in no mood for talking and made his feelings known by launching the mic before continuing his walk and looking straight ahead. Watch below...
