Former Brazil star Rivelino slams 'Idiot' Neymar

Neymar is "an idiot" and has no right to hit out at critics given Brazil's abysmal Copa America centenerio performance in the US, World Cup winner Rivellino has said.
Neymar went on an expletive ranting run to critics following his compatriots' 1-0 loss to Peru that confirmed they had been knocked out in the group stage of the competition they had been expected to go all the way in.

The Barcelona forward posted a picture of the national team on his Instagram page for his close to 51million followers and wrote that, "a lot of a****** will appear to talk s***"

Although he has since apologised for the use of foul words, it seems his senior compatriot isn't having any of it. Rivellino who was part of the great side that won the world cup in 1970 said of the current captain who did not participate in the competition due to his proposed involvement in the Olympics, "It would have been better for him to shut up,' he said on TV Cultura.
"This is something which has marked his career, it's not good for him. He is an excellent player, but I think his preoccupations have to be more about things on the pitch than off it. I think the biggest idiot in this story is him. You have to construct a story in order to be able to speak.

"He hasn't won anything, he hasn't given joy to the supporters, so he can talk less. You have to build your story first, try to give a trophy to the Brazilian population, and then you can start to complain a bit."

Brazil coach Dunga has since been sacked since then. He took over from Felipe Scolari after the latter had a tournament to forget in the 2014 world cup - suffering a humiliating 7:0 loss to eventual winners Germany despite having so much promise ahead of the tourney in their home country.
